There’s something ridiculously good, salty and savory about feta cheese that seems to pair well with just about anything, which is exactly why I wanted to make a gorgeous dressing with it! And bonus — this creamy feta dressing also pairs well as a dip if you happen to want something a little different.
A few recommendations: pour it on a tomato cucumber salad. Drizzle it on a greek inspired chickpea pasta salad. Dip your carrots or cucumbers in it. Toss it in a chicken wrap. Drizzle it over salmon or greek chicken kabobs. However you decide to enjoy this feta dressing, it’s going to be fab!
Ingredients in healthy feta yogurt dressing
You’ll need just 4 core ingredients to make this easy, creamy feta yogurt dressing. It’s super simple but still bursting with flavor! Here’s what you’ll need:
- Garlic: a must in a delicious, savory dressing, dip or sauce.
- Plain greek yogurt: I like using a whole milk or 2% plain greek yogurt so that the dressing isn’t too thin. Siggi’s is my favorite plain yogurt.
- Feta crumbles: the star of the show in this recipe. Feta adds a wonderful saltiness to the dressing.
- Lemon juice: squeeze a fresh lemon in the dressing to balance out the flavors.
- Water: to thin the dressing a bit.
- Salt & pepper: for the perfect amount of seasoning.
How to make feta yogurt sauce
You’ll simply add the garlic, yogurt, feta, lemon juice and water to a food processor or blender; process until smooth. Add a bit of salt and pepper to taste and process once more. Done!
Ways to use feta yogurt dressing

- Drizzle it on roasted veggies, this moroccan inspired sheet pan dinner or a greek fresh salad.

Feel free to add any of the following herbs to the dressing to make it your own:

10/10 would recommend! Could not be easier!
So happy you loved it!!
I was looking for a healthy sauce to pair with steamed cauliflower and fig & feta chicken sausage. This was so easy, very tasty and paired perfectly.
That combo sounds amazing!! Glad you found this one 🙂
This recipe was fantastic! I was wanting to make a runny yogurt dressing with feta and thought about just mixing the two with milk, but then I found this recipe. I used a single serving of Chobani plain yogurt (150 g) because I was in a hurry and didn’t want to measure out 1/2 C. I used the tiny crumbles at the bottom of the tub of crumbled/dry feta since I just mixed everything by hand. The only ingredients/volumes I changed were omitting the pepper, addeding a pinch of oregano, and adding more water (2-3 Tbsp) because I wanted it thin. I drizzled over socca/farinata topped with a roasted zucchini, squash, onion, and tomato mix. I love garlic, but I was glad I only used a small clove otherwise it might have been too much. I can’t wait to try it with dill!
Perfect! This one’s great for customizing. Sounds delicious!
WOW! So delicious! I didn’t have yogurt so I used sour cream, and I added dill. So yummy! Thank you!
Perfect! Sounds delicious!
This is beautiful. Creamy fresh and with a touch of fresh mint perfect on my burgers and as a dip. .
Yay!! I seriously think I could spoon it over just about anything haha!
Wow! These are amazing! I have had the recipe open in my browser since I saw the post and only regret that I didn’t make them sooner! So flavorful and it comes together very quickly. Will definitely be making these again very soon!! Thanks for sharing!
Hahaha omg so glad you finally tried it and that you loved it! I could seriously spoon it over just about anything 😍
Love love love your Puerto Rican Arroz con Pollo!
Absolutely delicious, I immediately put it on top of a homemade goat cheese pizza, but I will seriously be using this for EVERYTHING! Roasted veggies for sure, anything that needs a bit of zip.
Totally agree — I could eat it on just about anything!! So glad you love it 🙂
Such a quick and delicious recipe. I’ll be making it regularly!
Obsessed with this sauce would be an understatement. I used whole milk Greek yogurt and it turned out thicker than expected but still absolutely delicious. It’s like a tzatziki but lighter. I would put this on chicken, beef, spinach omelette, or really anything!
I don’t typically like Greek yogurt dressings but with my healthier eating habits it’s I decided to try it…WOW! This is amazing! I have been using this for everything! Thank you.
Yay! Happy to hear it came out great 🙂
Made this a few times for the lemon garlic chicken salad… it’s AMAZING!!!!!
Side note – when low on feta, I added what I had and then some white cheddar and Dijon mustard…it was also very good!
Love it!!
Your creamy feta yogurt dressing is SO easy and delicious! I got the recipe this morning and had it tonight on baked chicken and as a dip for homemade sweet potato fries. My husband raved about it. For me it was too salty from the feta cheese. As always advised, I should’ve tasted it first before adding salt. It was still a BIG HIT and one that’ll be in our favorites. Thank you, Monique.
So glad you loved it!! And yes, good idea to taste before adding additional salt (everyone’s salt preference really varies!)
Fabulous. Used garlic cloves that had been heated in butter (to make garlic butter for another dish). Added dill. Amazing!
That sounds delicious!!
