I made these today, just to try them, before the Holidays. They were very delicious! I made 12 pieces and only put hot honey on half and I used a light agave syrup on the other half, as some might not like hot honey. I also used brie on half and gouda on half. A big hit with everyone! Thank you for this simple but elegant appetizer.

These were really simple and overall really delicious and a fun appetizer. I don’t like Brie so I decided to use sharp white cheddar instead and topped with an apple, slice, prosciutto and arugula and Mike’s hot honey. The combination of sweet and salty and creamy and crunchy and spicy works really well together and although the tang from the apple was good, I feel like it would be even better with a fig jam or similar just to add a little moisture to the appetizer.
